Skin Contact wines (a.k.a. orange or amber wines – so many names!) refers to the period during winemaking when the grape skins remain in contact with the juice.White grapes are fermented on the skins, obtaining a gorgeous amber colour, subtle tannins and a mind-blowing complexity of flavours. Some consider orange wines too rustic and think of them as just another hipster trend. Others love the character and the mind-blowing intensity of flavours. One thing is certain: orange wines have a very distinctive personality and thus, they deserve their own name and place in the wine world.
Never tried one and want to learn even more about it? Then come along on the 26th and our expert Alex will guide you and help you discover your new favourite in time for the sunny season.
A selection of perfectly paired charcuterie and cheeses will accompany the wine tasting.
